PUZZLED BY COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS AND WHERE TO START REGULATIONS: LESSONS LEARNED FROM VANCOUVER, SEPTEMBER 2

Legionnaires’ disease is connected to improperly maintained mechanical systems. It is preventable.
Like elevating devices, certain types of water-using mechanical devices now require an Operating Permit in the City of Vancouver (Canada). As part of these Operating Permits, routine Legionella testing will soon be required to validate maintenance practices, and when exceedances occur, there will be mandatory corrective actions and notifications. This webinar will discuss the reasons for the regulations, summarize the requirements, and provide some observations and lessons learned.

Guest Speakers: Arne Faremo, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Senior Environmental Health Officer; Christopher Radziminski, City of Vancouver, Building Policy Engineer; Phillip White, City of Vancouver, Manager, Plumbing and Mechanical Inspections.
Date: Recorded December 2, 2020
