This webinar will to discuss the AAMI TIR-34/ST 108 guidelines. The standard covers the topics of effectiveness of water quality that are suitable for reprocessing medical devices. We will discuss the following topics within the standard: 1) What water quality and treatment equipment is necessary for reprocessing medical devices. 2) Quality control procedures needed for monitoring water quality. 3) Strategies suggested for bacterial control and environmental and personnel considerations that are needed for medical facilities in accordance with the new guidelines. 4) How this guideline will help reduce infections within healthcare.
