The focus will be on non-Legionella waterborne pathogens that may cause healthcare-associated infections and strategies to prevent such infections.
Speaker: Cheryl Squier RN, CIC, is an Infection Prevention Consultant for Special Pathogens Laboratory. She is retired after a long nursing career at the Pittsburgh VA Healthcare System and the VA VISN 4 Network. Most of these years were dedicated to the fields of Infection Prevention, Patient Safety and Sterile Processing. Squier has authored/co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts in the field of infection prevention and waterborne pathogens. She is a long standing member of the Association for Infection Prevention and Epidemiology had been certified in infection control since 1994.Watch Recording
