PUZZLED BY LEGIONELLA IN DRINKING WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS?

Many utilities are interested in knowing that their treatment processes are effective in controlling Legionella pneumophila in their distribution systems. This presentation will discuss several research projects that can serve as a guide for utilities to implement a monitoring program for their systems. Guidance is developing on how to respond and communicate Legionella data in water systems. Proactive utilities are developing communication tools to inform customers about Legionella risks.
